The Rectory - Fine Jade

Fine Jade is a thrilling and challenging ascent that takes you up a towering 400-foot tall buttress tower. The route is comprised of three pitches, with the majority of the climb consisting of intricate finger cracks. The first pitch is sometimes refferred to as the crux pitch for people with smaller hands as you must climb through a wide pod. Technically, the second pitch is the most challenging of the climb, featuring a fingercrack through a bulge with very little for footholds. The final pitch offers a choice between two different finishes: a more straightforward face climb or the original traversing and exposed pitch. The exposed traverse pitch requires climbers to hand or foot traverse along a narrow ledge that turns the corner of the tower to finish in a large roof.
