Experience a Night on Top of Castleton Tower!
Located 40 minutes Northeast of Moab, Utah, Castleton Tower is an iconic freestanding desert tower, first climbed in 1961. For an unforgettable adventure, climb the North Chimney Route and sleep overnight on the summit, surrounded by the breathtaking views of Castle Valley, the Colorado River, and the La Sal Mountains.
The Climb: North Chimney Route
First established in 1970, this four-pitch route combines exciting hand cracks and chimney climbing.
The first pitch starts with classic Indian Creek-style hand cracks.
As you ascend, the route transitions into unique chimney climbing all the way to the Notch at the top of the third pitch.
The final pitch (5.7) leads to the incredible summit, where we'll set up camp for the night.
Sleeping on the Summit

Wake up to an epic sunrise before rappelling back down in the morning.
Overnight gear will be hauled up for you, so you only need to focus on climbing!
